Tattoo Removal

As life goes on, interests and feelings change. While some forms of expression are temporary, tattoos are (almost) a permanent option that provide a challenge if we want to remove them later on in life.

How It Works

  • A topical anesthetic cream and chill-producing machine are used to minimize discomfort.
  • Laser light and heat are used to breakup ink particles in the skin.
  • Broken ink particles are moved through the lymphatic system until the body expels them.
  • Antiseptic cream and sunscreen are recommended for post-treatment.

*The laser pulses feel similar to being snapped with a rubber band.

Success Factors

  • Most tattoos need three to ten treatments of twenty minutes per month
  • Older ink is usually more challenging than newer ink
  • Blues and blacks are easier to remove than greens, reds, and other colors
  • Amateur-created tattoos are easier because ink is not as deep as professional tattoos

Pricing

  • Cost depends on size and color of tattoo: Average Treatment - $175

Warning: Treatment may cause a temporary hypo pigmentation (lightening of the skin). If you are prone to keloids, which are irregular-shaped scars that grow above the skin, laser treatments may not be right for you. Please discuss your options with your physician.
